Why does Springdale have Grade Seven when most schools in Cebu offer only until Grade Six at the primary level?

The PAREF schools ascribe to the educational philosophy which takes into account the proper maturity for students to have been attained by the time they graduate high school. The teenage years and the college experience are years of special adjustment and change which impact directly on a student’s performance in his academics as well as having significant influence in the success of his later years.

The majority of educators worldwide realize the above and that is why at the international level most schools offer twelve years of formal education, i.e., eight years of grade school and four years of high school. The practice is the same in the more advanced Asian countries. Passing through Grade Seven is a non-issue among the parents who realize that their children are better off and better adjusted to the demands of college life, and that these young men are well grounded emotionally for those experiences. When Springdale requires all students to pass through Grade Seven, the School is simply basing on the good experience of the better schools and educators. The School may allow new students into the high school program provided they have completed the equivalent of Grade Seven.
